The strategy has since been adopted by several operators.Airtel’s telecom equipment is provided and maintained by Ericsson and Nokia Solutions and Networks whereas IT support is provided by IBM.The transmission towers are maintained by subsidiaries and joint venture companies of Bharti including Bharti Infratel and Indus Towers in India. The User Interface is simple and consists of four buttons to check the Usage, upgrade the software version, recharge and home. The Connect button is a two way button. The lower rung shows off a carousel menu with Airtel Live, Movies on demand, Facebook, option to raise a service request and an option add on extra Smartbytes if your high speed data quota is exhausted prematurely.
The interface sometimes gets hung up and it sort of slows down your system. Earlier the 4G usage could be queried by just hitting on the Check Usage button but now Airtel has severely complicated the issue with a login request and in spite of this it is not possible to check the usage.
